My name is Vivien,
I was born in the Lancashire town of Colne. As a young child, my parents were very strict and would not allow me to play outside the family garden and I felt isolated, but I was never alone as I had my 'friends' that visited me to play and have a chat. When I started school I realised then, other children there did not have the same ability to ‘talk to friends’ whenever they wanted to. I decided to keep quiet and eventually my 'friends' disappeared. When I was older it was as though I had dreamt that period of my life.
When I was in my early twenties and having a good social life, staying with my friend and her parents, my ‘friends’ decided it was time to wake up the gift that had been dormant. I was sitting writing a letter when I realised the words that were running in my mind was being dictated to me by a different voice. At the same time, I could smell tobacco and felt queasiness in the stomach area. On mentioning this to my friend’s mother I was promptly informed that the symptoms were of her late father and I was displaying a mediumistic gift and I needed to attend a Spiritualist church. Two important things will always remain in my mind at this point, I had never heard of a medium except as the size of a persons clothes!
Nevertheless the following Sunday I attended Nelson Spiritualist Church which was in a small room over a sweet shop. That was the start of my journey…………..
Let me acknowledge at this time that on my journey I have been helped by various like minded people that was here on earth serving the spirits in there own way including two very important people Annie (affectionately known as Petal) and Mrs Joan Adams MSNU. They cared enough to iron out my pathway and make it smoother by giving the guidance I needed to train the gift I have. I have always had support from the Spiritualist National Union and The Guild of Spiritualist Healers, and I am proud to be associated with them.
Mediums have various bands of guides who come to help them with their work and they change just as the work in hand changes. We usually have one guide who is in charge of mediumship and one who is in charge of healing but they will bring through the people required for the job in hand. My main guide is Running Bear, a Native American Indian who always looks after me with my mediumship and brings others to me who help me to help you.
When I need advice I have help from the spirit world from Mrs Joan Adams MSNU and my other 'friend' Annie also guides me. My mother pops in every now and then, usually to advise me where my children are concerned (or to tell me off. Nothing has changed there!).
My Healing guide who has been with me all the time is called Chang, and he was a herbalist when here on earth. He continues to advise me on my health issues and vitamins.
To show you they also have a sense of humour, one of my new guides is a Mandarin. He lived in China and he likes the name 'Neville' so I refer to him as Neville, everyone is happy.
I am here to help my spirit friends by being an instrument for messages from loved ones passed over to friends and family here on earth as a channel for the healing power twhich is needed.
A mediums life is hard but rewarding and I would like to point out that I don’t consider myself special in any way.
Love and Best Wishes
Vivien and ‘friends’.
